Functional Neurology (FN) is a paradigm, a prospective to comprehend and to cure the Central Nervous System (CNS).

The premise is: the brain is a receiver and a transmitter. It Receives multi-modal stimuli, like touch, light, sound etc. It Transmit s movement through mo tor responses. All the stimuli but one are transient, the exception being gravity, which cannot be turned off. Consequently the CNS can be examined and understood through the motor responses to external stimuli. The functional neurology paradigm and the clini cal neuroscience allow for the de finition of specific rehabilitation protocols. Rehabilitation strategies include , ocular exercises, head/eye coordination, electrical somatosensory stimulation.

Course Goal: Exploring the basic of FN through its scientific principles and clinical application.
Learning Objectives: To provide a framework o f clinical reasoning from a neurological prospective .
